Cryptography Today
I’ve found an explosion of information about code-breaking — cryptography and allied sciences — in the 15 plus years I’ve been surfing the web. The most accessible for all curious people are the videos. I’ve stumbled upon them by googling “cryptography” on YouTube. I’ve tried to sift the what from the chaff, that is, choose clips that seem to have a solid information base. Below are links to what I consider the more reliable clips.
First, Google’s own — a course in Google Tech Talks on the Theory and Practice of Cryptography. 54 minutes.
Next, David Perry explains some of the history and the mathematics behind the code.
